I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no-one but yourself and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
Vroeger was liefde, het geven van een snoepje aan je buurjongetje, Het delen van jou knikkers, en het samen koekjes bakken met je moeder. Vroeger was liefde een kusje op de wang voor dat je naar bed toe ging, en het houden van je knuffels. Op school zette ik mijn fiets naast de jouwe, als teken van liefde. We speelde jongens en meisjes pakkertje op het plein en keken stiekem als niemand het zag....

As I stand here looking at you, I wonder if there will ever be a day when I will get over your smile. When I will let go of the hugs you gave me, a day that I continue to feel. A day when I forget the words you said to me. Whatever happens to us, I know I could never get over, let go of, or forget about you.

It’s even sadder if that person is someone you consider your friend, someone you really trust and care about. But after just one argument with this so-called friend, he/she gives up on your friendship. The reason why this friend didn’t even bother trying to save your friendship? Because he cares more about his reputation. How sad.
